Names of The Surah Kausar:
Surah Kausar, al-Kawthar, or al-Kauthar (سورَةُ الكَوثَر) is one of the most important and smallest surahs in the Holy Quran (القرآن). Al-Kawthar or Al-AHQAFINA (Arabic: ْاَلْكَوْثَر, “Abundance”) is the 108th chapter and shortest chapter of the Quran which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in Mecca. That’s why it’s called a Makkī (مَكّي) / Meccan surah sometime before the Isra and Mi’raj.
Surah Kausar in Arabic Text:
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيم
إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَ
Surah Kausar English Transliteration:
- Bismillaahi ar-Rahman ar-Raheem.
- Inna Aatayina Kal Kawsar.
- Fasalli Le Rabbika Wanhar.
- Inna Shaniya Ka Huwwal Avtar.
Surah Kausar English Translation:
- In the name of Allah / God, the most merciful, most compassionate,
- Indeed We have given you Kauthar (Abundance).
- So pray to your Lord and accept the sacrifice. [to Him alone]
- Indeed, your enemies are only alienated from the original.
